Coimbatore: A collision with a speeding express train in Madukarai district in Tamil Nadu has took the lives of three elephants. The three hands died after a speeding express train slammed them on Friday night, according to forest department authorities. One adult, one sub-adult, and a third teenage female elephant are among the casualties.
The three hands were crossing a railway track at Navakkarai in the Madukkarai woodland area when they were hit by a speeding Mangaluru-Chennai mail, according to him. The three female elephants perished after colliding with a Mengluru-Chennai mail train while crossing the Navakkarai railway track, according to Madukkarai Forest Range. According to him, the three female elephants were in the same herd and died instantly.
