Ankara: As we all have become fully aware today that the coronavirus has become a major epidemic and an enemy of people's lives for the whole world today. More than 81 thousand people have died due to this virus all over the world. On the other hand, due to this virus, millions of people have been infected. Whose treatment is still going on in the hospital. Turkey has started testing plasma therapy as a possible cure for coronavirus disease. Kerem Kinik, president of the Red Crescent Society of Turkey, said that we are waiting for the blood donation of all those who have been discharged from the hospitals after defeating the coronavirus within 14 days, so that other patients can be saved.

According to reports, each person recovering from COVID-19 can donate blood thrice a week. TRT reported that Kursat Demir, a Turkish doctor, is the country's first plasma donor. Demir donated blood at the Red Crescent facility. According to TRT, the plasma of patients recovering from the virus has antibodies that can be transferred to other infected.

It is also being said that 30,217 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Turkey so far, while 649 people have died due to this deadly virus.
