Triple Talaq Bill gets tabled in Rajya Sabha today :PM Modi holds crucial talks with  top brass

New Delhi: As the Triple Talaq bill is all set to be presented in the upper house of the parliament means Rajya Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday called talks with his top leaders. Narendra Tomar, Vijay Goyal were present in the meeting. Besides them party Chief Amit Shah, finance minister Arun Jaitley and Home Minister Rajnath Singh were also  attendees in the crucial meet.

Post getting a clearance from the lower house of the parliament, the controversial bill which seeks to criminalize the practice of instant divorce among Muslims, the bill is all  set to be presented in the Rajya Sabha; amid confrontation from all opposition parties led by Rahul Gandhi Congress party.

Reports suggested also that The Congress has also convened a talks of its MPs and  several opposition parties will also meet Monday morning in the chamber of Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad to develop their strategy in the house on the concern. The controversial triple talaq bill is expected to face hard battle from opposition parties, who are joint in their demand for sending it to the select committee for further inspection.

Worth mention here Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad will table the bill in the Upper House. It has already been passed by the Lok Sabha, with 245 voting in favor and 11 opposing it on Thursday amid a go off in a huff by the opposition parties.
