Agartala: Congress felt another blow to already looking fragile in Tripura. Pradyot Deb Burman, chief and stalwart of the Tripura Congress, has resigned from his position. Along with this, he also made serious allegations against the party. He alleged that corrupt people are being included in big posts in Congress.

Pradyot Burman gave information about his resignation by tweeting. He wrote in this tweet, 'After a long time I wake up in the morning feeling relieved. I started my day without listening to any criminal and liar. I no longer worry about which partner will stab me in the back. Now I do not have to face the corrupt people sitting in high positions.'

After resigning, he said, 'I can now serve my state better.' He said that 'today I realized how my health and my life were being affected. I cannot let the wrong elements dominate my society. I will now contribute honestly for the betterment of my state.' Congress has been out of power in the state for a long time. The BJP took power in the last assembly election by removing the decades-old CPM government.
