Today we are going to tell you about an engineer from Tripura. You will be surprised after knowing about this engineer. Actually, the engineer we are talking about has generated electricity by wet cloth and for this he has also received the Innovation Award. According to the unfolding news, medical diagnostic kits and mobile phones can be energized with this technology.

The engineer has received the Gandhian Young Technological Innovation (GYTI) award and he has been given this award by Union Minister Harsh Vardhan. According to the news of a website, the name of Engineer is Shankh Subhara Das. He lives in Khedabari, a village on the Bangladesh border and falls in Sipahijala district. According to him, this electricity is dependent on capillary action and evaporation of water. For this, he cut a cloth on a fixed length-width, then put it in a plastic pipe. He then fixed the pipe to a half-filled water vessel and copper electrodes were placed on both sides of the pipe. They were getting voltage from this.

Actually Shankh Subhara Das has done PhD from IIT Kharagpur. It is being told that the energy that comes out of it is not so much that it can run even large electrical appliances. At the same time, this problem was solved by adding 30-40 devices together by Das and his team. Now it can run a small LED, and can also charge the mobile phone.
