Action has also been taken on taking bribes on policemen and officers many times, but even now this business is going on a large scale. For some reason, the truck driver bribes the policemen a lot to get ahead in their journey. A study has come out in which it is told that truck drivers and owners of trucks pay about 48000 crore rupees every year as bribe to policemen and other officers standing on the road.

For your information, let us tell you that this report was released on Friday by SaveLife Foundation, an NGO working in the field of road safety and transportation. It was told that transport and tax officials including traffic and highway police also take bribe. Where after which the truck is allowed to go forward. Let us tell you that under which conditions the truck drivers work in the whole country and under what kind of mental and physical pressure it has been told. You will be surprised to know that local groups like 'Mata Ke Jagran Samiti' also threaten and collect money from truck drivers, but do not clear the path if not given.

Apart from this, the report further said that 82 percent of the drivers with whom they talked had admitted that they bribed some officer during their last journey. During the study, 1217 truck drivers and 110 truck owners were talked about, which exposes corruption on a large scale in this sector. It was told that during every journey, a truck driver paid bribe of Rs 1257 on average.
