WASHINGTON: In his Electoral Speech, former President Donald Trump sharply criticized Kamala Harris, the newly designated Democratic presidential candidate, claiming she would be the "most extreme radical liberal president in American history" if elected. This statement marks a significant escalation in Trump's attacks against his Democratic rival, who is now poised to lead the party in the upcoming November election. Harris, 59, assumes the presidential candidacy following President Joe Biden's withdrawal from the race.

Trump, who is running as the Republican candidate in the 2024 presidential race, has described Harris as excessively liberal on issues such as immigration and abortion. He labeled her a "bum" during his address at Turning Point USA's "The Believers Summit" in West Palm Beach, Florida. In his speech, Trump criticized Harris's performance as Vice President, noting her role as the "border czar" during a period of increased border crossings.

"The reality is that Kamala Harris was a failure as Vice President and part of a failed administration," Trump said. He further criticized her tenure, branding her the "most incompetent, unpopular, and far-left vice president in American history."

Trump emphasized his belief that Harris's presidency would bring about significant changes, accusing her of being the "most far-left" Democrat ever, even more so than Bernie Sanders. He suggested that Harris would appoint numerous radical judges to enforce what he termed as "crazy San Francisco liberal values" nationwide, referencing the city as a symbol of liberal policies.

The former president's speech also touched on broader issues, accusing Harris of supporting policies that he claims would undermine the country's security. Trump criticized her stance on issues such as free government healthcare for undocumented immigrants, the abolition of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the decriminalization of illegal immigration. He also accused her of wanting to outlaw private health insurance and defund the police.

Trump warned that a Harris presidency would lead to an influx of violent criminals, including murderers and drug dealers, across the borders. He vowed to remove criminals, illegal aliens, and gang members from the country if he were to be re-elected.

In response, James Singer, spokesperson for the Harris for President campaign, denounced Trump’s remarks as offensive and inaccurate. Singer accused Trump of being unable to speak coherently, insulting the faith of Jewish and Catholic Americans, and perpetuating falsehoods about the election. He argued that Trump’s vision for America is outdated and criminal, contrasting it with Harris's focus on freedom, opportunity, and security.
