TUNISIA: According to a statement provided by the Tunisian government, Tunisia and Egypt signed several agreements on Friday to promote bilateral cooperation.

Following the end of the 17th session of the Egyptian-Tunisian Joint Higher Committee, these agreements were signed in the presence of Tunisian Prime Minister Najla Bouden Romdhane and her Egyptian counterpart Mostafa Madbouly during a ceremony.

The agreements sought to boost bilateral relations in the areas of international cooperation, markets, export, and agriculture.

Higher education, scientific research, communication technology, information, meteorology, climate, housing and building, as well as information exchange between financial authorities are all covered by these accords.

The Egyptian Prime Minister arrived in Tunisia on Thursday, leading a high-level team, on a two-day official visit.

In terms of olive oil production, the Tunisian Minister of Agriculture stated that his country is fully prepared to work with Egypt and exchange experiences in this field, as well as form partnerships aimed at providing Egypt with more high-quality strains so that it can compete in the global market.
