New Delhi: NDRF soldiers who went for relief and rescue work in the devastation caused by the earthquake in Turkey have told how the people there praised India. Sharing the experience of Turkey with PM Narendra Modi, NDRF soldiers have told that people there gave us heartfelt blessings and sent us off crying while returning. A soldier told the Prime Minister that, 'When I was taking rounds, the relatives of a patient understood that I was the commanding officer here. He held my hand and kissed it. Then he asked if you could understand what it meant. I said you are giving me respect. On this, the Turkish citizen said no, it means you are like a father to me.'

The NDRF soldier further said, 'The young man said that I am the young generation of this country and I assure you that the coming generations will remember what you have done for our country.' At the same time, a woman officer told the Prime Minister that a woman told him that 'Allah is first for them and you are second in today's date'. During this, the NDRF personnel also mentioned the help provided by the dog squad. An officer said that we sent Julie (NDRF Dog) towards the debris, who barked to indicate that there was someone alive down there. After this Romeo (NDRF Dog) also confirmed this.

At the same time, an officer told the Prime Minister how he pulled people alive from the debris even after 104 hours. He said that many people heard applause for us, but when we were coming back, Turkish people were crying. During this, the Prime Minister said that when the Indian team reaches with the tricolor, the world is sure that will get help now. This is the reason why today India is seen with the eyes of harmony in the whole world.
