The first tremors of the earthquake at 4.17 am brought disaster for Turkey and also snatched many lives. After this, the tremors and aftershocks of continuous earthquakes have turned many big cities into rubble. Meanwhile, experts have said that this earthquake was so powerful that it shifted Turkey up to 10 feet.

Italian seismologist Dr. Carlo Doglioni has said that Turkey's tectonic plates could move by 5 to six meters compared to Syria. In fact, Turkey is located on several major faultlines, which are connected to the Anatolian Plate, Arabian Plate and Eurasian Plate, due to which the risk of earthquakes is high here. Meteorologists say that the 225-kilometer faultline between the Anatolian Plate and the Arabian Plate has been broken.

He said that, however, it is being said only on the basis of initial data. More accurate information can be obtained from satellites in the next few days. Durham University Professor of Structural Geology, Dr. Bob Holdsworth said that considering the intensity of the earthquake, it is being told that the shift of the tectonic plate is logical. Actually, there is a direct relation between the intensity of earthquakes and the sliding of tectonic plates.

The report says that since 4.15 am on Monday till now, the earth has trembled 550 times in Turkey. So far more than 8000 people have died due to earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. President Erdogan has also declared an emergency for three months in ten provinces of the country. Schools have been closed till 13 February. 70 countries including India have extended a helping hand to Turkey.
