New Delhi: The Twitter account (@Mib_india) of the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B) was hacked on Wednesday morning. According to reports, the hackers had changed the twitter account of the I&B ministry to Alan Musk. After receiving the news, Twitter immediately took an action and compromised the account. Later on Wednesday afternoon, Twitter restored the Twitter account of the ministry of I&B. A tweet was issued by the Ministry on the issue. At the same time, the matter has become public following a tweet from the Ministry on the restoration of the account.
The same Information and Broadcasting (I&B) Ministry is often active on Twitter. This is why people are involved in the ministry's Twitter account @Mib_india. According to the report, the I&B Ministry has more than 1.4 million followers on Twitter. On the other hand, after the restoration of the Twitter account of the ministry of I&B, HT quoted the ministry official in a report as saying that an inquiry will be conducted to see what had actually happened to the @Mib_india. HT quoted officials as saying that after the account was hacked, links with bitcoin related news were shared from the account. However, HT has not confirmed the officer's claim.
