Tragic accident: Tempo hits 4 people of same family

According to the information received, four people were killed and three were seriously injured in Vasai taluka of Palghar district of Maharashtra on Saturday when they were crushed by the speeding tempo. They were all on foot from Gujarat to Mumbai. After the accident, a police official said that the accident occurred in the village of Parole at three in the morning when a speedo approaching tempo crushed some people going from Gujarat to Mumbai. Four people died and three were seriously injured in the accident.

It is also being said that at the same time, six people died after hitting a lorry carrying a laborer on the outskirts of Karnataka. The accident occurred on Outer Ring Road. The lorry was taking laborers to their villages in Karnataka. 30 workers unemployed due to the lockdown were returning to their village in Raichur district of Karnataka. Six others were injured in this accident. He said that the injured were admitted to a nearby hospital and the bodies of the dead have been sent for postmortem. The official said that the tempo driver has been taken into custody and the Virar police is registering a case and investigating it.
