Kolkata: The violence against BJP workers in West Bengal is not going to stop. On Tuesday (August 3, 2021), the bodies of two BJP workers were recovered at two different places. The BJP has also accused the Trinamool Congress (TMC) of the deaths. One case is from Birbhum and the other is from Medinipur. The BJP says the TMC-backed goons killed their workers while TMC is shying away from the allegations.
Talking about the body of a BJP worker found in Khoirasol in Birbhum district, police said, the body of BJP worker Inderjit Sutradhar was found hanging from the roof of a room in a long-vacant building and both his hands were tied. Police have rushed the body of the Sutradhar for postmortem. Police said that the initial investigation suggests that the case is completely murdered and investigation is on. The family members of the deceased said that Inderjit had been missing since Monday night and had also spoken to some locals.
The second body belongs to Tapan Khatua. According to reports, the body of 45-year-old BJP activist Tapan Khatua was recovered from a pond in the Egra area of the East Midnapore district. The BJP and Khatua's family have blamed the TMC for his death. Local leaders of the TMC have denied the allegations. on the contrary, the TMC leaders have accused the BJP of politics over these unfortunate incidents.
