Baghpat: A major accident has taken place in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh. There have been reports of death of two masons who went to Bath in Yamuna due to drowning in the river, after which sensation has spread in the area. However, after finding the corpse of both the drowned persons, no one has been detected. After receiving information about the sinking of two people in Yamuna river, the government staff reached the spot and stayed there till evening.
Police sources have informed the media about the case. Giving information, a senior police officer said that Rohit and Bunty, residents of Bamnauli in Doghat police station area, along with six people from their village had gone to Badrkha on Monday to build a toilet. In the afternoon, the two masons went to Yamuna for a bath with their companions. At the time of bathing, both the deep water sank.
Police said their comrades made noise and the four youths somehow swam out. But no information could be found regarding both of them immersed in Yamuna river. A crowd of people had gathered near the river. Administrative officials had also reached the spot and the divers were searching for them, but the two masons could not be found even till evening.
