New Delhi: The entire country has been locked down for three weeks due to the Coronavirus outbreak. The people of the country have been asked not to move out of the houses for the next 21 days. Do not leave the house unless it is very important, because there is a provision for both punishment and fine if caught doing so. In this, the punishment can be extended from one month to two years.

Those who do not follow the rules and guidelines during the 21-day lockdown will be dealt with under Section 51 of the Disaster Management Act. It has provision for both punishment and fine. Failure to follow the rules of lockdown can lead to a fine of Rs 200 as well as a jail term of one month. If it caused a problem in the legal system or a situation of rioting, the two sentences would extend to six months. The order states that if you disobey your order or cause danger to someone, you will be sentenced to jail if found guilty. Which can also be extended for two years.

An order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs after PM Narendra Modi's address to the country on Tuesday said that people who spread rumors related to the corona-virus will also be punished. The order of the Ministry of Home Affairs states that if a person spreads any rumor related to the corona virus, he can be punished with imprisonment for one year, with fine.
