The UAE hosts the largest overseas Filipino community, estimated at about 1 million expatriates, a number expected to grow as the Gulf country plans to hire more qualified Filipino healthcare professionals through a government-to-government hiring system.
Sheikh Abdullah expressed appreciation for the Filipino community's role in supporting the UAE's development plans across various sectors.
The meeting was attended by Mohammed Obaid Al-Qataam Al-Zaabi, the UAE ambassador to the Philippines, and Saeed Mubarak Al-Hajri, assistant minister for economic and trade affairs.
