Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's faction has proposed three election symbols for his new party Balasahebancha Shiv Sena i.e. Balasaheb's Shiv Sena to the Commission. These 3 symbols are shield-sword, peepal tree and sun. Now it has to be seen which symbol is allotted by the Election Commission to Eknath Shinde's party.

Earlier on Monday, the Election Commission approved the name of the new party of the Eknath Shinde faction. The name of the Eknath Shinde faction's party will be Balasahebancha Shiv Sena meaning Balasaheb's Shiv Sena. Apart from this, the name of Uddhav Thackeray's party will be Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray). The Uddhav Thackeray faction has also been allotted the election symbol of the Torch (Mashal) by the Commission.

At the same time, the party symbol was not allotted for the Eknath Shinde faction as the symbols proposed by them were religious symbols. The Commission said that a proposal should be sent only for such symbols, which are not religious symbols. After the order of the Election Commission, a proposal for three new symbols has been sent by the Eknath Shinde faction. Let me tell you that there was a huge uproar in Maharashtra for the last few days regarding the election symbol.
