Mumbai: Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reviewed the decisions of the previous Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government at a cabinet meeting. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that loans worth crores of rupees have been allowed to speed up the schemes. At the same time, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the decision on naming the cities was taken in a hurry and due process was not followed.

Talking to reporters, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that in the last cabinet meeting of the MVA government, the decision to change the names of many cities was taken in a random manner. Therefore, these decisions will be reviewed and a resolution will be passed in the assembly, which will be further sent for the approval of the Centre. He said that the decisions taken by us are not the ones to collapse, but of the moving government. I am sure every state will appreciate these decisions.

At the same time, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde informed that the name of Aurangabad city has been changed to 'Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar', Osmanabad city to be renamed as Dharashiv, Navi Mumbai International Airport to 'Loknete D.B. Patil Navi Mumbai International Airport.' Apart from this, a loan of Rs 60,000 crore was approved in the cabinet meeting to expedite development projects like Metro, Maharashtra Trans Harbor Link Road (MTHL) and the flyover of MMRDA. It was also decided to give a government guarantee of Rs 12000 crore for the loan of MMRDA. Devendra Fadnavis also attacked Leader of Opposition Ajit Pawar. Fadnavis alleged that our decision was reversed by the MVA as it was very successful and there was no scope of corruption in it.
