Mumbai: Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari is in the headlines these days. In fact, in the past, he gave a statement of 'Toh Mumbai Mein Paisa Hi Nahi Bachega,' on which the controversy does not seem to stop. Let us tell you that the Eknath Shinde government has already distanced itself from his statement and now Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has demanded an apology from the governor for his statement. With this, it has been said that now the time has come to decide whether he (Governor) will go to jail or go back from the state. Yes, recently Uddhav Thackeray has accused Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari of dividing Hindus living peacefully in Mumbai and Thane.

Addressing a press conference in 'Matoshree' last day, Thackeray said- 'The hatred that the Governor has for Marathi people has come out unknowingly. The governor should apologize to the Marathi people.' With this, Uddhav Thackeray said- 'The Governor is not performing his duty of treating all the people equally. They have committed a crime by dividing Hindus. Apart from this, Thackeray alleged- 'The governor is trying to create division among Hindus, who have been living together amicably in the state for centuries. Even though their caste, community and religion are different. Now it is time to decide whether Koshyari should be sent back or he should be sent to jail. Despite living in Maharashtra, he has insulted Marathi speakers in the last 3 years. And now with such a statement, he has hurt the dignity of the post of Governor.'

Apart from this, Uddhav Thackeray said- 'During the 1992 riots, Shiv Sena saved the lives of Hindus in Thane and Mumbai. Then he did not see whether he was Marathi speaking or not. I want to say that I do not want to insult the post of Governor because it is a big post. But those who are sitting on this post should also maintain their dignity. With this, he said, 'Marathi people are hurt by the Governor's statement. He has not gifted Mumbai to Maharashtra. Rather, people have sacrificed their lives for Mumbai during the Samyukta Maharashtra campaign. He further said, 'He (Koshyari) has insulted the Marathi people. Now they need to show the world-famous Kolhapuri chappals.

Apart from this, he alleged that people sitting in Delhi are keeping an eye on Mumbai. His eyes are on the property here and the governor has said this publicly. What Koshyari had said - In fact, Koshyari, who was addressing a program on Friday evening, had said that 'If Gujarati and Rajasthani leave Mumbai, then there will be no money left in Mumbai and it will not remain the financial capital of the country.'
