New Delhi: Shiv Sena Party chief Uddhav Thackeray has said that if Veer Savarkar had been the first PM of this country, Pakistan would not have been born. At the same time, Thackeray also demanded the country's highest award Bharat Ratna for Veer Savarkar and said that our government is the government of Hindutva.
This was stated by Thackeray on the special occasion of the release of an autobiography 'Savarkar: Echoes from a Forgotten Past' and further stated that Savarkar should be honored with Bharat Ratna. According to him, we do not deny the work done by Gandhi and Nehru, although the country has seen more than two families descend on the political scene.
