Indore: On the lines of Simhastha held in the year 2016, devotees will now be able to get entry in the running Bhasmarti in Mahakal temple of Ujjain. The Mahakal temple committee has taken this decision. The devotees who are left after registering the Bhasmarati will be allowed to enter the Bhasmarati moving from the last two lines of the Kartikeya Mandapam. For the time being, arrangements will be observed for 7 days as an experiment.

Devotees from all over the country reach the world-famous Baba Mahakal's temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh for the Bhasma Aarti to be held on the morning of Baba Mahakal. A devotee has to take online or offline permission by the temple committee to attend the Bhasmarti by the Mahakal temple committee. At present, there is a seating arrangement for two thousand devotees in the Bhasma Aarti in the Mahakal temple. Actually, in the month of Sawan, the crowd of devotees increases in Baba Mahakal. During that time many devotees also want to participate in Bhasmarti, but due to non-registration, they stop going to Bhasmarati.

For such devotees, Ujjain Collector Ashish Singh proposed before the temple committee that these devotees should be given a glimpse of Bhasma Aarti running from two rows behind Kartikeya Mandap. It will be launched on an experimental basis for 7 days. If this arrangement is successful, then it can be continued further. If this arrangement is successful, then no devotee who comes to the temple will be deprived of attending the Bhasma Aarti.
