New Delhi: The Central Government is going to launch the second phase of Ujjwala Yojana 2.0. Under ujjwala yojana, free gas connections are provided to women from BPL families. If you also want to avail of this facility, you can apply at home. Under PM Ujjwala Yojana, the government provides LPG connections to BPL families. The scheme is being run in collaboration with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. Under Ujjwala Yojana 2.0, the first refill will be provided free of cost to the beneficiaries as well as the stove will also be provided free of cost. Also, if you live somewhere away from home on rent, and the permanent residence certificate is not addressed proof, you can still get a gas connection under Ujjwala Yojana 2.0. This will benefit the beneficiaries that there will be no problem in getting gas connections due to job change or rented home change.

Who can take advantage of Ujjwala Yojana?

- Only women can take advantage of ujjwala scheme.
- Must be listed under poor family in any category.
- The age of the applicant woman should be at least 18 years.
- There should be no other LPG connection under this scheme in the same house.

These documents will be required for the benefit of Ujjwala Yojana 2.0:-

- Ujjwala connection is mandatory to be eKYC.
- The applicant's Aadhaar card will act as proof of identity.
- Ration card of BPL issued by any state government.
- No. The basis of the beneficiary and adult members of the family that appears in the document.
- Bank account number and IFSC code

Ujjwala 2.0 Connection: Apply like that:-

- Go to the Apply For New Ujjwala 2.0 Connection above after clicking on the online portal pmuy.gov.in.
- You'll find three options below on the page. Indane, Bharat Petroleum, and HP.
- Submit by choosing one option and filling in the information sought for a new connection, as per your convenience.
- You can also download the form and fill it up and submit it to the local gas agency dealer.
- LPG gas connection will be made available to you by the government after the document is verified.
