London: In an effort to determine the reason behind a stabbing and van attack that left three people dead and another in critical condition in the central English city of Nottingham on Wednesday, British police questioned a man on suspicion of murder.
Two university students, both 19 years old, were discovered stabbed to death on a street in the heart of the city on Tuesday around 4 a.m. (0300 GMT).
Then, two miles away on a road, another man, a school caretaker in his 50s or 60s, was also discovered dead with knife wounds. A van that had been taken from the caretaker was then driven at three people, critically injuring one of them. Police used a stun gun to arrest a 31-year-old man after the car was stopped, and they say they are not looking for any other suspects.

Suella Braverman, the home secretary, said in a statement to parliament, "This does not mean that it is currently being treated as a terrorist attack."
According to the BBC, the suspect is thought to be a West African immigrant with a history of mental health problems.
