New Delhi: Ukraine's pastor who called Corona epidemic a 'punishment for God'  tested positive for corona. Patriarch Philaret, Chief of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, has been admitted to the hospital after being found corona infected during the investigation. In an update released through Facebook post on Friday, his health was justified.

On Tuesday, the church said, "The pastor has thanked his well-wishers and supporters for remembering him in prayers. Today his health is stable. Healing is going on in the hospital. We would appeal to you to pray for him." Hopefully God will get them out of the disease soon. " Let us tell you that 91-year-old Patriach Philaret suddenly came into the discussion in March. He gave an objectionable statement while giving an interview to Ukrainian TV channel. He replied to the question asked on the epidemic that 'this is God's punishment in return for the crime of humans'. He blamed gay marriage for the epidemic.

After the statement came out, the gay community of Ukraine opened a front against the clergy. The angry gay community filed a case against him. In which his statement was said to encourage hatred and discrimination. He demanded an apology from the pastor. According to a news report, the channel and the clergy were asked by the gay community to withdraw the statement.
