MOSCOW – On Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi spoke by phone on the Ukrainian crisis and the development of security assurances between Russia and the West.
In response to Draghi's concern over the situation in Ukraine, Putin claimed that Kiev is dodging its commitments under the 2015 Minsk agreements, according to the state news report.
Putin explained Russia's essential approaches to long-term and legally binding security guarantees in detail, emphasising the significance of adhering to the fundamental principle of "security indivisibility," as upheld by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
In terms of bilateral issues, Putin assured Draghi that Russia will continue to supply Italy with stable natural gas supplies.
