MOSCOW: The Ukrainian team for negotiations with Russia has arrived in Belarus, as per source.  President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on social media that Belarus and Ukraine have agreed to have discussions at the Belarus-Ukraine border.

Volodymyr Zelensky had previously denied Russia's offer to hold discussions in Belarus, recommending Budapest and Warsaw as alternatives, according to the source.

He said this in a video message uploaded on his Telegram channel on Sunday, just after the Kremlin stated that a Russian delegation had arrived in Belarus and would be ready to talk with Ukraine in Gomel. He stated that Ukraine is willing to talk to Russia, but Belarus is not an option because Russia has launched attacks from Belarus. "We're not going to Minsk. Other cities can be used as a meeting location "he stated

"We want peace, we want to talk, and we want the war to cease... Any other city, any country from which missiles are not launched at us, would be ideal "Ukraine has proposed meetings in other countries like as Poland, Hungary, Turkey, and Azerbaijan, Zelensky said, but Russia has so far refused.

Dmitry Peskov, a spokesperson for the Kremlin, said earlier that a group from the Foreign Ministry, the Defense Ministry, and other government agencies had arrived in Belarus. Russia has warned Ukraine that it will not cease military actions during any future discussions, Peskov said.
