Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Tuesday that Kiev is ready to fulfill the Minsk agreements aimed at ending the conflict in Ukraine's eastern Donbas region.

"We even outlined ten stages for completing it in a short amount of time. It's a lengthy document. It consists of ten steps combining the Normandy format and the United States of America "According to Ukrainian media, he mentioned this during a meeting with Ukrainian officials in the western Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Zelensky says, Kiev has already sent the US, France, Germany, and Russia the 10-step plan for executing the Minsk agreements. Simultaneously, he stated his willingness to negotiate with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in order to end the conflict in Donbas.

The Minsk agreements, signed in September 2014 and February 2015, lay out the actions that must be taken to end the conflict in Donbas between government soldiers and armed groups, which has claimed the lives of over 14,000 people since April 2014. A ceasefire, a withdrawal of heavy armament from the demarcation line, a prisoner swap, and local elections are among the steps outlined in the documents.
