NEW DELHI: In the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) paper leak case, the Special Task Force (STF) on Thursday filed another charge sheet against expelled BJP leader Hakam Singh and 9 others.

"Since the case was registered on July 22 in this case, the STF has arrested 41 accused in this case so far, and the process of arrest is still ongoing.",  STF's Superintendent of Police, Ajay Singh said in a release.

Singh and 21 other suspects in the case have been subject to an invocation of the Gangsters Act by the investigation body. Up to 41 individuals, including Gaurav Chauhan, the Additional Private Secretary in the Public Works and Forest Department of the State Secretariat, have been detained thus far on suspicion of being engaged in the paper leak case.

Although the CBI investigation is being demanded, the Special Task Force is looking into the UKSSSC document leak issue.
"I have also said that there have been many instances of improper recruitment throughout the years. Since the subject has come before me, we have instructed the police to look into it and turn the case over to STF "On September 23, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made a statement.

The chief minister made it clear that, if necessary, the case might be transferred to the CBI.

When reporters asked whether or not his government would suggest that the CBI conduct an investigation into the case, he responded, "We have not drawn any Lakshman Rekha for investigation."

Authorities bulldozed Hakam Singh's resort in Sankri Mori, Uttarkashi, on Tuesday as it was allegedly illegally constructed.
