Babri Masjid trial: Uma Bharti appears before CBI special court

Union Minister Uma Bharti has appeared in the special CBI court in Lucknow today. She has visited Ramlala in Ayodhya before going to court. She has been summoned for demolishing the disputed structure of Ayodhya. Former Madhya Pradesh CM Uma Bharti told the media that she would give any response after coming to court from the hearing.

Uma Bharti, leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, has appeared in a special CBI court in Lucknow. She is the 19th accused to file her statement in court in the Ayodhya case. On December 6, 1992, a special CBI court was recording the statements of 32 people accused in the Babri Masjid demolition case in Ayodhya.

On Tuesday, Uma Bharti was to appear in court in Ayodhya in connection with the demolition of the disputed structure but she could not appear in the CBI court of Lucknow.  It was a court holiday as the lawyer tested positive for corona. Uma Bharti visited Ayodhya on Wednesday after visit 'Hanuman Setu temple' in Lucknow. There she visited 'Ramlala'. On the direction of the Supreme Court in the case of disputed structure demolition in Ayodhya, the special CBI court has to complete the hearing of this case by 31 August. This is the reason court is working every day. On June 29, Sadhvi Rithambara appeared in the CBI special court for testimony.
