The government of UP has decided to construct a paved road to the home of the gold medal-winning contestants at international, national and state levels under the Major Dhyanchand Yojana. Regional Sports Officer in charge Prem Kumar has given this information on Tuesday.

As for this, he said that the road is going to be built to the homes of the contestants of the districts falling under Saharanpur division by the Sports Directorate who has won the gold medal in international level and Olympic, Asian Games, World Cup, Asian Games from 2017 till now. 

It has been learned that Prem Kumar has called upon all such gold medal-winning contestants of the board to submit their sports certificates, Aadhaar cards and original residence certificates at the Regional Sports Office Saharanpur on September 24, 2020. He said that the road is to be constructed by the Ministry of Public Works.
