Personal protection devices (PPE) are proving to be very helpful for health care workers in fighting the coronavirus (covid-19) amidst nationwide lockdown. In such a situation, the Union Health Ministry on Friday issued additional guidelines regarding the rational use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by healthcare personnel working in hospitals not treating Kovid-19 patients.
Regarding this matter, the ministry explained how PPE should be used in low, medium or high risk areas. The various departments of the hospital of the Ministry have been divided into low, medium and high danger areas. According to the guidelines, all components of PPE should be used in high-risk departments, while wearing triple-layer masks and gloves are mandatory in low-risk departments.

It is recommended to wear N-95 masks, goggles and gloves in medium danger departments. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of coronavirus positive cases in India has increased to 37,336. It has 26,167 active cases. At the same time, 9950 people have defeated this deadly virus. However, so far 1218 people have been killed due to coronavirus. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 2,293 new cases of coronavirus have been reported and 71 deaths have occurred in the last 24 hours. This is the highest number of cases reported in a day.
