BHOPAL: Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia is hopeful of the BJP's victory  in Madhya Pradesh as the state gears up for the vote counting. He confidently stated that the BJP will regain power in the state, anticipating the public's endorsement for the saffron party.

Asserting his conviction, Scindia emphasized the remarkable development witnessed in Madhya Pradesh under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He reiterated, "Since the outset, I have maintained that owing to the state's progress under the leadership of PM Modi and CM Chouhan, we are assured that the people will favor the BJP, enabling us to form a government with a clear majority."

Highlighting the BJP's limited time of 15 months to steer the state towards advancement, Scindia expressed confidence in the party's return to power, attributing it to their effective governance.

The 2018 state assembly elections marked the Congress' ascendancy, with Kamal Nath assuming office as the Chief Minister. Subsequently, Jyotiraditya Scindia and 22 MLAs defected to the BJP, leading to Chouhan's reinstatement as the Chief Minister.

As Bhopal's counting center readies itself, preparations intensify ahead of the imminent vote tally. The counting process is scheduled to commence shortly.

Sunday witnesses the counting of votes for the legislative assemblies in Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Telangana. Stringent security measures have been put in place for this phase, touted as the semifinal showdown preceding the much-anticipated final battle in 2024.

However, the vote counting for Mizoram, which also participated in the elections alongside the aforementioned states last month, has been rescheduled to December 4, Monday, as communicated by the Election Commission (EC).

The vote counting at designated centers is set to kick off at 8 am on Sunday.
