United Airlines Jet Loses Wheel, Damages Car Parked Below

A US airplane lost one of its wheels shortly after take-off, causing damage to a car parked below. The incident involved a United Airlines flight heading to Japan from San Francisco. The wheel fell off the plane and landed on cars parked in a lot, leading to the aircraft being diverted.

The Boeing 777-200, carrying 249 passengers, was en route to Osaka but had to divert to Los Angeles International Airport following the mishap. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the passengers or crew.

Footage of the incident was captured by RadarBox, showing the moment the tire fell to the ground and the aftermath of damaged vehicles. United Airlines reassured that the Boeing 777-200 is equipped to handle such situations, as it can safely land even with missing or damaged tires.

In response to the incident, the airline announced plans to transport passengers to Osaka using a replacement aircraft. Additionally, they pledged to collaborate with the owners of the affected vehicles to address any needs arising from the damage.
