Srinagar: Nearly six months after the central government banned the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), the illegal activities (prevention) tribunal confirmed the ban. The tribunal says that the government has reliable grounds to take action against JKLF. JKLF has been accused of supporting terrorist activities, as well as many cases,  are registered against JKLF.

These cases include the murder of four Air Force officers and the kidnapping of Rubaiyya Saeed, the daughter of Mufti Mohammed Saeed.
