Dehradun: Schools are opening for students of 10th and 12th in the state of Uttarakhand from November 2. The government has issued SOP for this. It has been said that if more students come, schools can be run in two shifts. Also, the SOP states that arrangements should be made for students to sit at a distance of six feet. For students who will not come to school, the system of online education will continue like before. In the case of running the school in two shifts, students of 10th and first class will be called in the first shift.

Only 50 percent of the students will sit in the same class. While the rest will be called the next day. The directive issued by Chief Secretary Omprakash also said that before the school opens, they should be completely sanitized, after every shift. Ensure sanitation, handwash, thermal scanning and primary treatment in schools. If any student, teacher and employee has symptoms of cough, cold or fever, then they should be sent home for primary treatment.

This will also be arranged
1. School vehicles will run with half capacity.
2. There will be no activities related to sports and entertainment. Prayers will be offered in the class room itself.
3. School vehicles will be sanitized at least twice on a regular basis.

After the issuance of SOP for opening of schools for high school and intermediate classes, the schools have started preparing for the same. The Principal of Progressive School Association (PPSA) is going to meet today on this important issue. On the other hand, the parents are not fully ready to send the children.
