Varanasi: The UP Congress has formally started its election campaign for the 2022 assembly elections from today. In fact, today Priyanka Gandhi first offered prayers at Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Durga Temple in Varanasi. She is now addressing a rally. Let me tell you that this rally was earlier renamed as 'Pledge Rally,' but now it has been changed to 'Kisan Nyaya Rally.' Priyanka Gandhi began her address at the rally with a shloka of Mother Durga.

She then attacked the Yogi government and said, "People do not expect justice in the BJP government.'' She said, "Here those who ask for justice are suppressed. Whether it is Hathras, Unnao or now Lakhimpur Kheri. The BJP government has failed to deliver justice. PM Modi celebrates the festival of independence but who has given this freedom. This freedom has been given by the farmers. From whom they don't go to meet.''

At the same time, she said, "When she went to shaheed Nakshatra Singh's house in Lakhimpur, it was found that his son had entered the Border Security Force. When I went to see the next family, I was told that their brothers and sisters serve the country in the army. When I went to journalist Raman Kashyap's house, I was told that he was taking the video, so he was crushed. All the families told me that they did not expect justice. If the Government, the Chief Minister, the Prime Minister, the Minister of State for Home Affairs, the MLAs are all together, who should the people go to?''
