Uttar Pradesh: An elderly couple was killed with sharp-edged weapons in Tithaupur village of Uttar Pradesh under Tarwan police station area here, police said on Monday, November 29.
The victims, Nagina (55), a Lekhpal in the Consolidation Department based in Mau district, and his wife Nagina Devi (52) were asleep in their home when unidentified miscreants broke in late Sunday night and killed them, according to Azamgarh Superintendent of Police Anurag Arya.
Senior police officers, along with a dog squad and finger print experts, arrived at the scene and took charge of both remains, according to police. They then began an investigation. According to authorities, the deceased Nagina was the eldest of three brothers and had three daughters, one of whom is married.
