Lucknow: An encounter took place between police and criminals in a film style in Deoria. In which several rounds of bullets were fired from both sides. Finally, the SOG soldiers broke the glass of the vehicle and four criminals were taken into custody along with illegal ammunitions.
The SP said that all of them are members of the inter-state gang of trucks and vehicle thieves. The gang had stolen trucks in Sonughat and Ballia town of Deoria. And a case is also registered against them. The Jeep compass with which these criminals have been apprehended is also stolen. The jeep has been stolen from the civil line of Prayagraj. A case is filed in the Civil Lines police station. Three pistols and cartridges have been seized from them.
On September 28, SOG Incharge Girjesh Tiwari along with his team was present at Purva Tihe in the district to arrest the miscreants. The police had written to the informant that the Jeep compass coming from Gorakhpur, and the number of the Jeep is BR 06 BL 0999, has some criminals sitting in it. The SOG team then chased the vehicle and surrounded the criminals at the cooperative intersection of the city. The criminals, surrounded by police fired, in response, SOG also opened fire, shot at the tire, break the glass and detained the culprits. A video of the incident has also gone viral.
