Bhadohi, In separate incidents, five persons were killed and two others injured.

Circle Officer Sushil Kumar said, “in the first incident, three persons were killed on the spot and two others injured when the truck they were travelling in rammed into a stationary truck near the Aurai police station”.

The deceased were identified as 23-year-old truck driver Devi Bind, Brijesh 28, and Ramakant 35.

In another incident, in the same area, 30-year-old Shamim and 55-year-old Gulam Sarvar were killed when their scooter was hit by a truck.

An investigation is underway and the bodies have been sent for the postmortem.
