After counting of votes for the 11 vacant assembly seats in UP on October 21, the counting of votes is being done today, on Thursday, October 24, 2019, the result will come soon. All necessary preparations for counting of votes have been completed on the instructions of the Election Commission. On the directive of the Commission, an order to keep all government-licensed shops of Indian and English liquor, beer and cannabis closed in the radius of 8 km of the four tehsils is given.

It has been found from the information that these shops will open only after the counting of votes ends on Thursday. If the same is done on the results of the general elections held in 2017 on 11 seats, then BJP won 8 seats, the same party of UP Pratapgarh won the candidate of Apna Dal. The remaining one seat was won by SP and BSP seat of Jalalpur in Ambedkarnagar.

The MLAs who won 10 of these 11 seats became MPs in the Lok Sabha elections this year, so they had to resign from their MLA posts, while BJP's Fagu Chauhan won the Ghosi seat when he was made the Governor of Bihar. Resigned from Sources say that since the voting in these 11 seats has been relatively less in this by-election, the margin of victory and defeat will be very less.
