Kanpur: BSP chief Mayawati fielded a candidate for the By-Election at the Ghatampur seat in Kanpur which was vacated after Kamala Rani Varun died of COVID-19. Mayawati has declared former BSP district president Kuldeep Sanwar as the candidate for the Ghatampur assembly by-election in the wake of a meeting in Delhi.
The sector charge from Kanpur was also called to Delhi for discussion in this case. Kuldeep Sanwar has been the president of the Bahujan Samaj Party. He has been the zonal coordinator of the Bahujan Samaj Party and was also removed from office once. He has once again been declared a candidate.
On the other hand, three more patients died on Monday due to COVID-19 in Kanpur. 344 new infected found. The three deceased were also in the grip of diabetes, liver disease, hypertension, kidney disease. After the infection, they had pneumonia in their lungs which led to the failure of the respiratory system during treatment. The death toll due to COVID-19 has now reached 536. The total number of infections is 20,589 and out of these, 15,309 patients have been recovered from COVID19. Active cases are 4744. COVID-19 infected one patient died and one patient at Devine Hospital and Kanshiram Hospital each. At the same time, corona cases in the state are continuously increasing.
