The situation remains unclear in the matter of issuing Badrinath pass to UP Independent MLA Amramani Tripathi. The government is assuming that the authorities have defaulted in issuing the pass. But the government seems to be spared from getting a separate inquiry for the level from which the lapse occurred. Along with this, the pass was issued by the District Magistrate Dehradun office to go to Badrinath and Kedarnath in three vehicles, including colleagues. At the same time, the police investigation revealed that the pass has been issued on the letter sent to the Chief Minister Additional Secretary Om Prakash, to the District Magistrate Ashish Kumar Srivastava. The inquiry committee was not set up despite questions from senior officers. While the Opposition is constantly demanding to set up an inquiry committee, the government seems to be avoiding it.

Government trusts police investigation
The government is confident that the police investigation will detect the lapse in issuing the pass. The Congress has questioned the government in this matter. Party vice-president Suryakant Dhasmana says what will a small police officer do to investigate a senior IAS officer? The government is trying to save the bureaucrat.

Notice to Kunwar Japinder in indiscipline
At the same time, the state BJP has issued show cause notice to the primary member of the party, Kunwar Japinder Singh, in case of indiscipline. He is accused of campaigning falsely against the state government and organization in newspapers and social media. On the instructions of BJP state president Banshidhar Bhagat, this notice has been issued to Japinder Singh.
