UP Police seizes property worth Rs 2 crore of 'Lady Don'

Lucknow: Police in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad have attached illegal properties worth crores of rupees of Lady Don Hasina on the orders of the District Magistrate. The confiscated property also includes the Kothi of Hasina's Jayantipur. Let us tell you that three months ago, a Moradabad court sentenced Hasina to 10 years imprisonment in the drug trafficking case. Since then, Hasina is imprisoned in jail.

After imposing a government seal on Haseena's property, the police department also made a funeral procession by playing the drums in the locality. Regarding this, Moradabad SSP Hemant Kutiyal has informed that Lady Don Hasina is a vicious criminal, against whom 26-27 cases of gambling and drug trafficking are registered in different police stations. He also said that a charge sheet was also filed against Hasina under the Gangster Act. Now on the orders of the District Magistrate, under the 14 (1) Gangster Act, property worth 2 crores has been attached by making a munadi. The SSP further said that Hasina's network is spread not only in Moradabad but in the entire western UP.

He said that in the world of drugs and betting in western UP, Hasina is infamous as Lady Don. In Meerut, Hapur and Bulandshahr too, Hasina has been in controversies in cases of charas smuggling. The SSP said that the case in which the court sentenced him to 10 years in jail is almost three years old. Hasina, a resident of Jayantipur in Majhola police station area, was arrested by the team police and drugs department on August 9, 2019.
