Kanpur: The whole country is dealing with the crisis. The government is making various efforts to deal with it. Due to this, lockdown has been imposed in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, from 10 pm on Monday night. However, this lockdown has been imposed in those 10 areas, which are placed in the high-risk area of Corona. While giving information on the complete lockdown, District Magistrate Dr. Brahmadev Ram Tiwari has said that this decision has been taken in view of the increasing cases of Corona in the last three days.

He said that this decision of complete lockdown has been issued with immediate effect from 10 am on Monday night in 10 police station areas of Kanpur Nagar, based on the recommendation of WHO, Health Department, Police Administration and District Administration. He further informed that the 10 police station area of Kanpur Nagar district- Chakeri, Kalyanpur, Naubasta, Barra, Kidwai Nagar, Govind Nagar, Kakadev, Kotwali, Nawabganj and Swaroop Nagar have been kept under the category of maintenance zones. 

Along with this, as per the instructions of the government, there will be complete lockdown in these areas on Saturday and Sunday also. Brahmadev Ram Tiwari has further stated that after reviewing the cases, lockdown can be extended further if needed. It can only be lifted if the situation improves now. If no change is seen, then the lockdown can be extended further."
