Indore: Famous Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's film Pathaan was released this morning. While the film is facing opposition from Hindu organizations at some places, at others the film has been released with great enthusiasm in many cities. The first-day first-show had to be canceled due to a protest by Bajrang Dal in Indore. Bajrang Dal workers started reciting Hanuman Chalisa outside the cinema hall here. There was a huge protest against the film in Bhagalpur, Bihar as well. But most protests are taking place in the cities of Karnataka. There is a lot of protest against the film Pathaan in Bangalore, Belagavi, and Kalburgi.
Protests against Shah Rukh Khan's film Pathaan started in Indore, Madhya Pradesh since the morning. Hindu organizations protested a lot in the theaters of Indore. Due to this, the workers of Vishwa Hindu Parishad also recited Hanuman Chalisa on talkies. Workers of Hindu organizations came with sticks in their hands to stop the show. In Gwalior too, a police force was deployed in large numbers outside cinema houses. Not only this but the posters of the film were also removed from many cinema houses. In Bhagalpur, Bihar, there was a fierce protest against the film Pathaan. Activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal created a ruckus. The workers sat on a protest on the premises of the cinema hall and started raising slogans. Earlier on Tuesday night itself, the poster of the film Pathaan was torn and burnt in Bhagalpur. Activists of Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad say that demonstrations against Hinduism will no longer be tolerated.
The manager of the cinema hall told that there is an atmosphere of fear among the cinema audience due to the protest. In such a situation, people are not reaching to watch the film. Most of the seats are vacant even inside the cinema hall. The manager demanded that the administration register a case of defamation and sedition against such people. There have been reports of protests against Pathaan from Bengaluru, Belagavi, and Kalaburagi in Karnataka. Hundreds of protesters took to the streets in Bengaluru to protest against the film. In Belagavi too, protesters opposed outside the cinema hall. During this, the protesters also tore the posters of the film. Thereafter, the Police swung into action. Police detained several protesters. In Kalburgi, activists of Hindu Jagran Vedika staged a protest against the film. Police have increased security outside all cinema halls in view of the protest. A protester who came to protest against the film in Bengaluru said, we are boycotting the film. The film is against the nation. If Shah Rukh Khan is scared to stay here, then he should go to some other country. On the other hand, the film was released amidst tight security arrangements in Mumbai.
