United Nations: According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, UN Undersecretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Martin Griffiths has allocated USD 13 million from the UN Central Emergency Response Fund for an urgent response to large-scale flooding in South Sudan.

According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. (OCHA), 809,000 people have been affected by significant flooding in several parts of the country, which has been exacerbated by an intensification of violence in areas like Tambura, according to media reports.

Humanitarian organisations have increased their response to satisfy the needs of the afflicted people. Large portions of South Sudan have been flooded for the third year in a row, according to the report. The funding will help with the reaction to one of the deadliest and longest-lasting floods in history. According to OCHA, UN agencies and partners will offer humanitarian assistance and protection to flood victims who have limited or no access to basic services and supplies.
