Canberra: An aircraft carrying approximately 20 US Marines crashed off the coast of Darwin in Australia's Northern Territory on Sunday during a routine exercise, fortunately resulting in no fatalities.

The aircraft, identified as a V-22 Osprey tiltrotor, encountered difficulties shortly after takeoff and plunged into the sea. Swift rescue efforts ensured that all 20 Marines on board were successfully retrieved and subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for thorough evaluation. Miraculously, no serious injuries were reported among the personnel.

The V-22 Osprey, renowned for its versatile capabilities, combines helicopter-like takeoff and landing with airplane-like flight characteristics.
