Washington [U.S.A.], Jan.05 (NT): The United States declared on Thursday that they are cutting off military aid to Pakistan, as its Govt. is not sincere to take “necessary steps" to control terrorism.

State Department talking head Heather Nauert informed the impediment would remain in place until Pakistan takes action in opposition to the Afghan Taliban and the Haqqani network.

Nauert, addressing in her media briefing in Washington, also made a statement that: "No country has suffered more from terrorism than Pakistan. They understand that, but they still haven't taken the necessary steps” as quoted by ANI.

The declaration comes three days following President Donald Trump made a contemptuous comment against its supporter in the war on terrorism and accused Pakistan of lying and unreliable while being paid billions in aid.

The development comes whenTrump from his twitter handle shared a message which read

"The United States has foolishly given Pakistan more than 33 billion dollars in aid over the last 15 years, and they have given us nothing but lies & deceit, thinking of our leaders as fools. They give safe haven to the terrorists we hunt in Afghanistan, with little help. No more!" Trump posted on Twitter on Monday.

Though, the U.S. is only put the end the security aid, the humanitarian support to Pakistan will keep on. (NT)
