US Secretary of State Blinkon meets NSA Doval before PM Modi

New Delhi: National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and visiting US Secretary of State Antony Blinkon have met in New Delhi. The meeting is significant in the sense that the talks lasted for nearly 125 hours before they met Blinkan and External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar and PM Modi.

According to sources, the talks between the two discussed all complex issues related to clashes in the region. Sources said, the Doval and Blinkon had a long discussion on the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan and the fast-growing terror group Taliban. Not only that, terrorism was also discussed between the two in Pakistan and across the border. At the same time, the Biden government and the Modi government agreed to further strengthen bilateral relations and strategic ties in all areas.

Blinken held a meeting with civil society representatives in India in the morning. After the meeting, Blinken said on Twitter that the US and India show commitment to democratic values. Blinken added, "I was happy to meet the representatives of the civil society today. The United States and India share a commitment to democratic values. It is part of the foundation of our relationship and showcases India's pluralistic society and history of harmony. Civic institutions help in promoting these values.''
