USA: A growing percentage of Americans think the US is giving too much aid to Ukraine, a Pew Research poll said, with more than a quarter now saying President Joe Biden's administration is being overly generous.
Even though their numbers have dwindled over the past year, some still think Washington should increase its economic and military aid.
The poll, released Tuesday, showed that 26% of Americans now believe the US provides too much aid, up from just 7% in March. Meanwhile, 20% of respondents believed the US should provide more aid, and 31% believed the amount was "about right".

Since that initial vote, the US has significantly increased its aid to Kyiv and has now committed more than $110 billion in economic and military aid.
Anti-air systems, armored vehicles and more than a million artillery shells have been delivered to Ukraine as part of Washington's efforts to support its military, with Biden vowing to keep the arms flow going "as long as it takes". have promised.
Two massive spending bills passed by Congress—one in May for $40 billion and another for $1.7 trillion, including an additional $47 billion for Ukraine—have provided most of the funding for this aid.

Despite Republican leadership's support for these bills, a small number of Republican lawmakers close to former President Donald Trump criticized Vice President Joe Biden and his Democratic allies for spending so much on a foreign conflict.
He claimed that the money would be better used to boost the US economy and strengthen border security.

Republican voters are more likely to be against US aid to Ukraine, with 40% believing it is already excessive and 17% wanting more. Democrats are split 23% to 15% on whether Biden should increase or decrease US aid to Ukraine.
